2D imaging scanners - These are available in fact, the newest, the technology is completely different and not based on light sources, a source of light. These devices have a small video camera that uses the image of the barcode. The technology is essentiallythe same as the CCD technology, however, the video camera in this device, there are hundreds of rows of sensors instead of a single line. The hundreds of sensors are arranged a two-dimensional array that allows them to generate an image.
Omni-Directional Barcode Scanner - This scanner with a series of curved or straight lines with different directions in the form of a Lissajous figure (a starburst) or other rotational arrangements. They are projected onto the bar code and nono matter what the orientation of at least one r more of them will be able to cross all the rooms and bars. These scanners generally have a laser, but in contrast to the standard single-line laser beams they generate patterns enables the reader to work in an angle.
Methods
Wall and pen-type readers will need a swipe motion for the operation.
Semiautomatic units must be positioned only in the vicinity of the label and must not be stolen.
Fix-mount systems need not beoperated, but the barcode is scanned by the device provided for a short period of time before.
